2007 Season - Arias and Opera Scenes

In 2007 we moved the American Singers' Opera Project from New York City to North Carolina. Instead of a seven-week program during evenings and weekends, we experimented with a one-week format, with participants living on the campus of Greensboro College and attending classes and rehearsals all day long. The workshop was a huge success, and featured an aria evening and an evening of opera scenes. We decided that we needed a larger venue in order to grow as a workshop, and in 2008 we moved to the Salem College campus and expanded the workshop to two weeks, including three performances of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro.
