How to Apply for the Summer Opera Workshop
PRICE
Tuition only is $1,900.00, Tuition plus Room and Board is $2,300.00 for the 2010 program. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required at the time of acceptance to the program. The balance is due no later than April 1, 2010.
ENROLLMENT/AUDITION
Enrollment each year is limited to 25 singers. You must be at least a rising high school senior to participate, and there is no upper age limit. Limited partial scholarships are available, and walk-ins will be accepted at all live auditions.
You may audition via recording or live audition. Live auditions will be held at the following locations:
Sunday, Feb. 28th, Shenandoah Conservatory, Winchester, VA, Ruebush Hall 148, 1-4pm
Sunday, March 7th, Elon University, Elon, NC, Center for the Arts, Room 164, 2-5 pm Canceled due to unforseen circumstance, please contact program@asop-inc.org if you are unable to come to Wake Forest next weekend.
Sunday, March 14th, Wake Forest University, Winston Salem, NC, Music Building Room 208, 1-4pm
Sunday, March 21st, Eastern Carolina University, Greenville, NC, Music Building B110, 3-7pm
We will accept recorded auditions that come with a teacher's recommendation up until March 21, 2010. PLEASE NOTICE CHANGE OF DATE All applications must arrive in our offices by March 21, 2010 in order to be assured a live audition, although we will accept walk-ins at the audition sites on a first come, first served basis. Only applications received by the deadlines above will be guaranteed eligibility for scholarships, however, we will accept applications until the workshop is filled. There is a $25.00 application fee (checks should be made out to "American Singers' Opera Project). Contact the email address below should you have any questions.
