Founded by Nancy Stokes-Milnes in June, 1995, the American Singers’ Opera Project, Inc. is a not-for-profit program whose purpose is to educate singers about what it takes to have a career in the field of opera. ASOP’s mission is to encourage an environment in which singers can feel safe to fully explore their talents, and to create performance opportunities for them to showcase these talents. In this, our 14th season, we have moved the workshop to Salem College, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, for a two-week, intensive workshop designed to serve the many singers from the large University community here who are looking into opera as a career. The low cost and not-for-profit status makes the program accessible to everyone. ASOP provides the benefits of a world-class opera program; without the expense! The workshop will include:
