WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE OUR 2012 SEASON AT WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY!
The 2011 season was a great success and we are proud to announce our return to Wake Forest for the 2012 season, from June 2 to June 17. Come join us as we perform Verdi's Falstaff in Italian. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2012.
From June 2 to June 17, 2012, we will present a fully staged opera Verdi's Falstaff, in Italian with piano (and possibly chamber orchestra) as well as an aria evening on the prestigious Wake Forest University Campus in Winston Salem, NC.
- In 2010 and 2011 the ASOP Summer Opera Workshop was held on the prestigious Wake Forest University campus in Winston Salem (NC). This is a wonderful improvement over previous venues, with excellent performance facilities and dormitories. We are excited to return in 2012, and would like to thank the Wake Forest University Department of Music, especially Dr. Stewart Carter, Chair, and Prof. Richard Heard (a member of our Board of Directors) for their help and encouragement. Wake Forest University was, for us, an obvious choice. The school's outstanding national and international reputation takes us to a new level.
- This is the new design of ASOP's website and it is on-line since May, 16 2009. For now the website has no advanced features available, but our Webmaster and Search Engine Optimization Engineer is working on them and they will be released shortly.
